The Government of Canada introduces the Connected Care for Canadians Act

In an effort to provide Canadians with increased access to their medical records, the Minister of Health introduced Bill C-72 the Connected Care for Canadians Act. This bill aims to help Canada’s national health system move in a more connected and modern direction while reducing the stress of both the patient and provider. Timely and secure access to medical records is pivotal to increases in accurate diagnoses, quality of care and decreased readmission rates. While it may take some time to see the full adoption of a more connected system, the government is committed to providing a roadmap to providers and working closely with its provincial and territorial partners.

Greenlight is committed to removing silos that prevent patients from having secure and timely access to their medical records in the US. We support both patients and providers so they can participate in a transparent and empowered health journey. With the EHR movement spreading globally, we stand as a proud leader in advanced data accessibility.
